Eh, it was okay.

It felt kind of low energy compared to other episodes. I think it’s because one team was clearly dominating over the other so there was no real tension. And yet, surprisingly, the winner was not as well versed in pop culture as I would’ve expected a contestant on HGN to be. Though he was smart enough to pick Seth Green (whom I adore) as his partner for the final round, so I do give him props for that.

Tonight, Michael Ealy was a guest on Hollywood Game Night, and that made me think of elaborateheists

Dave Foley was also a guest on Hollywood Game Night, and that made me think of dimetrodons

I’m thinking “The One With Joey’s New Girlfriend” might just be the one F.R.I.E.N.D.S. episode prior to the realization of Chandler & Monica’s romantic relationship that proves how well they work together.

Granted, I’m only saying this because it’s on right now & I haven’t seen it in a while, but how Monica-esque is Chandler’s appreciation of a broom? Kathy & Chandler are watching TV when an infomercial for the whatever special broom comes on, Kathy mentions how amazing it is, and Chandler produces the object advertised from behind their kitchen counter.*

Also, while I’m not a big fan of the Kathy arc in general (or Kathy as a character, tbh) I do think the arc is important for Chandler’s character development in terms of how he views long term relationships. Which is probably why he & Monica hook up in the season finale.

Oh, and then there was Monica’s overenthusiastic interpretation of what Chandler is like when kissing a woman, but you know. Whatever.

*Doesn’t Chandler mock Monica for having bought a mop for like 50 dollars? (I can’t remember whether or not it was an infomercial mop.) I’m 100% he mocks her for spending a lot of money on a mop in the first season when her credit card gets stolen & they look over her bank statement to see what’s been bought. I guess brooms are a whole different animal in his mind.

When Harry Met Sally ( 1989 )

“I love that you get cold when it’s 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you’re looking at me like I’m nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it’s not because I’m lonely, and it’s not because it’s New Year’s Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

She cheats on her [HOT HOT HOT] husband with a male escort & gets high in order to do her artwork, all the while forgetting that her teenage daughter has been kicked out of school and thus, is expected to be home early. You know, having been kicked out of school.

Yeah, I know it’s only been 40 minutes, but I can’t say Grace is a likable character.

So it IS the other man’s phone that he has in his possession.

Who’s a full time escort.

Huh.

I’m about male escorts, tbh. That is relevant to my interests.
